About MIORCA

MIORCA is a statewide partnership that brings together law enforcement, prosecutors, and retail partners to combat organized retail crime across Michigan. Created after the Michigan Organized Retail Crime Act was signed into law in 2013, MIORCA was established to strengthen the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of organized retail crime through a coordinated public-private approach.

Through real-time intelligence sharing, a secure members-only reporting platform, and collaborative investigative meetings, MIORCA provides an organized communication and operational structure for partners facing criminal activity that impacts business. By connecting public and private sectors beyond traditional communication channels, MIORCA helps coordinate resources, address active cases and emerging trends, and improve the overall response to organized retail crime.
